There are several forms that need to be completed before and during the ceremony. I will guide you through the paperwork and requirements for identification at our first meeting. For your reference please see links to the documents and reference material below.
Together we will complete the Notice of Intent to Marriage (Form 13), which needs to be completed no less than 30 days before the wedding, and then the register, and certificates on the day of the wedding.
On the day of your wedding, you will sign three marriage certificates. Each certificate should be signed by you, your celebrant and two witnesses. Your celebrant will give you one of the certificates as a record of your marriage.
After the wedding I will register your marriage with the registry of births, deaths and marriages in the state or territory it took place within fourteen days.
The certificate issued by the registry of births, deaths and marriages is required for many official purposes. You should apply for a copy of this certificate from the registry after your wedding.
